Rashid Bashir, Dean of the University of Illinois College of Engineering and Grainger Distinguished Chair in Engineering, has been named a National Academy of Inventors Fellow (Full list of 2018 Class). The NAI Fellows Program highlights academic inventors who have demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society.
