Illinois Materials Research Science and Engineering Center
I-MRSEC IRG1 investigator Prof. Matthew Gilbert (Electrical and Computer Engineering) was recently selected to be a 2022 Bando Visiting Fellow at the University of Pisa for his "groundbreaking work on crystalline forms of topological matter." The award recognizes "highly-qualified and highly-cited researchers" in Physics. Gilbert was one of six selected for the 2022 award. The prize includes opportunities to visit Pisa for a lecture series.
